Gligor Gelebesev started to play the piano in his hometown Gevgelija, Republic of Macedonia. He finished high-school in Skopje and received his Bachelor’s degree at Academy of Arts in Novi Sad under Jokut Mihailovic and his Master’s degree, with cum laude, at the Music Academy of Skopje, in 1997. During his studies, Gligor Gelebesev successfully participated at competitions in the country and abroad.
In addition to pedagogical work, he performs solo recitals and concerts with the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra and others.
As a chamber musician in piano duo Gelebesevi with his wife Katerina Gelebeseva Kostadinovska, since 2001, he is a regular visitor to all major festivals in the country (Ohridsko Leto, Skopsko Leto, Heraklejski veceri, Interfest, Bitola) and abroad: France (Paris), Serbia (Novi Sad, Nis), Netherlands (Den Bosch), Romania (Bucharest, Craiova), the USA, Turkey, Slovenia, Poland, Italy. In 2008 the duo released its first CD with the music of Debussy, Chopin, Hatchaturian, Shabri and Bartok.
Gligor Gelebesev is currently working as a professor at DMBUC Ilija Nikolovski-Luj in Skopje.
